This well structured sparkling wine has a light straw color with a persistent foam. The aroma is bright and fresh, showing hints of flowers, biscuits, pears and grapefruits. The taste is fresh and fruity with balanced acidity with a long dry aftertaste.


Perfect as an aperitif or with light snacks.

Origin: Didi Chailuri, Manavi, Kakheti, Georgia

Soil: Alluvial calcareous of great thickness, average skeletal loamy, sandy soil

About the Winery

Kateryna Chiganova, the founder of Mtsvane Estate winery, left
her home of Ukraine over a decade ago and, along with her family, became a
part of the burgeoning Georgian winemaking community, specializing in sparkling
Pet-Nats. The company takes pride in producing low intervention and sustainable
sparkling wines from different parts of Georgia. It is a small company with a big
goal: To create some of the foremost sparkling wines in Georgia.

Winemaker Notes

Whole bunch grapes are pressed in closed presses without destemming. Only
first run juice is used. Fermentation starts in stainless steel tanks for 7-10 days,
then transfers to bottle to ferment and store in cellar where the wine stays on lees
for 7 months before disgorging.

Vineyard Notes

Mtsvane and Rkatsiteli are two of Georgia’s most storied indigenous grapes.
Vineyard Didi Chailuri, Manavi, Kakheti (East Georgia) at 650m (2100ft). Soil is
thick alluvial calcareous with loamy, sandy soil atop. Farming is low
intervention with no use of pesticides and grapes are hand-picked and
transported in small boxes.
