Collection: Red Wine

The Red Wines of Georgia are not exactly similar to the red wines you may be familiar with.  First, all of our red wines are purely using indigenous red grape varieties found naturally, growing in the wild, in Georgia.  There are Georgian winegrowers who are producing common western, vinifera wine varieties such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and others.  However, we choose to focus on the amazing red wine grape varieties of Georgia, and the master winemakers and estate vineyards that for centuries have tailored these varieties to Georgian winemaking standards, often fermented and aged in Qvevri, or alternatively taking a single grape harvest and making partly Qvevri wines and partly classic method wines to be able to demonstrate the comparative results of using the same grape harvests to make two distinctly different wines.  One winemaker, Lado Uzunashvili, puts it this way; "you can try 2 wines made from the same grapes, but one is made in the traditional method as it has been done for 8000 years, and one is made in the classic European method".  And you can experience 8000 years of winemaking in comparing the 2 glasses of wine.
