Popular, affordable, semi-sweet red wine.  Light to medium body, easy-to-drink wine that is not too sweet.  Taste profile  is fruity, ruby-red featuring notes of red fruit, sweet plum, raspberry jam, and some spice or cocoa.

Kindzmarauli is a style of winemaking established in the Kindzmarauli PDO of the Georgia Kakheti region.  The grape is Saperavi that is generally used to make bold, dry wines.  However, for Kindzmarauli, the fermentation is stopped (by chilling) early to retain a higher volume of sugar (45 g/L in this case) giving the wine a "semi-sweet" character.

This is an excellent dessert, casual, summer evening wine.  Also, great for drinking a red wine on hot days.

Serve chilled with fruits, chocolate, desserts and blue cheese.

    14-15°C  (57-59°F)

    About the Winery

    Winemaker Notes

Under watchful management of one of Georgia’s premier wine makers using
state of the art facilities, harvested by hand in early morning and placed in
stainless steel tanks for fermentation remaining in skin contact for 20 days
resulting in a deep ruby color, young tannins in balance with velvety and long
    lasting finish.

    Vineyard Notes

The saperavi (‘saw per ah vee’) grapes for this wine are sourced from the Mukuzani viticulture zone in the famed Kakheti region. Here the vines are planted at 1500 feet elevation. Soil has black to loamy topsoil underlain by white clay with stony structure laying on a limestone strata with carbonated enclaves.
