Iberieli Saperavi has been granted Gold award for TexSom 2025 and Iberieli Natural Qvevri wines are the perfect pairing not only for Georgian dishes but also go well with pizza, asian, italian and barbeque. Iberieli Saperavi light red wine has won numerous international awards and most recently was awarded Gold for Texsom 2025. Iberieli Cecilia, named after winemaker Zurab Topuridze's granddaughter, is a perfect blend of white grapes Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane, produced in Qvevri, with skin-contact resuting in a beautiful amber (aka orange) wine. Golden blend is a complex blend of Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, Kisi and Khikhvi grape varietals, also in Qvevri and also skin-contact deep amber coloring. This is a great sampler set to try premium Georgian natural qvevri wines.

About the Winery

Iberieli's winery is located in the fertile wine region of the Kakheti Valley, near the town of Telavi. It produces its award-winning Saperavi from the prestigious Teliani Appellation, its white grape varieties like Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, Kisi, and Khikhvi, used for their Cecilia and Golden Blend from the Teliani terroir in the village of Tsinandali. For certain wines like their Chkhaveri, Iberieli uses grapes from vineyards in the villages of Dablatsikhe and Sakvavistke in the Guria region.

Winemaker Notes

Zurab Topuridze is a leader in Georgian traditional and natural qvevri, skin-contact winemaking. He has built his family's marani (wine cellar for Qvevri) and selected specific Qvevri hand-made for purpose and grape varietal optimization.
