Collection: Tsolikouri Wines

Tsolikouri is a white grape variety native to Georgia's western region of Imereti, where nearly 90% of vineyards grow them.  They prefer the wetter climate of western Georgia as opposed to the Eastern Kakheti Valley where the hot, dry climate is loved by the more prominent Georgia varieties like Saperavi and Rkatsiteli.  Tsolikouri wines range from full-bodied, creamy, complex dry wines, to semi-sweet and dessert wines made from late-harvest grapes.  For those of you who detest sweet and semi-sweet wines, you should never try the Tvishi style of Tsolikouri, made in an ancient traditional way only in the village of Tvishi, as you may lose that hatred that you've clung on to all your life.
