Collection: Mtsvane Grape Varietal Wines

Mtsvane grapes, indigenous to Georgia, are known for their crisp, citrus flavors with hints of pineapple and pear.  Classic style Mtsvane wines, made in the classic European method (no skin contact, no qvevri) have a light green color, strong fruity aroma, and balanced taste.  Because of it's strong aroma and balance, it is sometimes referred to a "Georgian Riesling".  Georgian traditional qvevri skin-contact wines have an amber color and the depth of the amber and the wine's boldness depends on how long the wine is aged in skins and in qvevri.  Mtsvane and especially Kakhuri Mtsvane (from Kakheti valley) wines are considered some of the best representations of Georgian amber (orange) wines.
